Born in Manhattan, New York, contemporary sculptor Christopher Ross has earned an international reputation for his 'animal' wearable fine art and portrait sculpture.
His distinguished body of work has been featured in numerous international magazines and was recently on view at Yale University Art Gallery and Newark
Museum of Art.
Exhibitions include: New York's Museum of Natural History, The Kruger Gallery, NY Fifth Ave. Public Library; High Museum of Art, Atlanta; Virginia Museum of Fine Arts; Art Basel Miami Beach; Le Meurice et L'hôtel d'Évreux, Place Vendôme, Paris, France; Cube Design Museum, NL; Mood Design Museum, Como, Italy and The Royal Scottish Academy of Art and Architecture, Edinburgh and the William King Museum (partner of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts).
Public Collections include: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City; The State Hermitage Museum, Saint Petersburg, Russia; The National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh; Palais Galliera, Paris, France; Yale University Art Gallery and MFA Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
In 2016, he was made Hon. Life Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) for having sustained exceptionally high achievement in the arts, and was officially selected artist for the Royal Scottish Academy Annual Summer Exhibition.
